I think she made podcasting with students seem less daunting and more accessible. I know it's something I would love to learn more about and do with my students in the future. She made it seem like podcasting with students was actually possible, especially that she was doing it with middle school students, who can sometimes be difficult to work with.

Comment on Lisa Palombo Interview-Inspiration and Creativity Abounds- Fine Artist Interviewed on Transformation Education

It's interesting we can use media to share that message of beauty and creativity. That is one of the reasons I wanted to do that interview to share some of her experiences with a larger audience. Learners gain a great deal from seeing professionals and experts at work - they do not really have a concept other than Hollywood otherwise!

Isn't it great to be able to listen to these episodes with the convenience of the web.

Best
Dr KPK

Comment on Lisa Palombo Interview-Inspiration and Creativity Abounds- Fine Artist Interviewed on Transformation Education

I enjoyed the interview. The most interesting thing to me was the mention of living in the concrete of a city and working to create beauty in response. One pattern seen historically with highly creative teams is that they work in ugly and austere places. Beauty, it seems, can be distracting. This seems to extend beyond art, by the way, to all creative endeavors. I wonder if it is analogous to needing quiet to think. And I wonder if the situation is changing as we come to live in media-rich environments.
Peter

Comment on Dr. King Presents New Media Opps. to Reach At-Risk Pops. at International Adult Ed Conference

Dr. King, I was thrilled to learn about video sharing for students to view as models for research and for seeing professionals in action as Dr.Gura explains. Thank you.
