Dr. King Receives 2009 AERA Outstanding Research Publication Award

Harnessing Innovative Technology

On April 14, 2009, Dr. Kathleen P. King received the 2009 AERA Outstanding Research Publication Award for her co-edited book, "Harnessing Innovation Technologies." The award is presented at the AERA 2009 Annual Conference in San Diego.

Dr. Joan Griggs, former program director of FIPSE and currently with NARA, was co-editor. We are excited that this book on distance learning has been recognized by the premiere educational profession association in the USA.

This volume is a critical publication as the landmark book bringing together scholar's work analyzing FIPSE distance education grants finding spanning 20 years. Read more here at Atwood Publishing.

Concurrent with the trip to AERA, Dr. King is also presenting at the 2009 National Catholic Association of Education. Her presentation is on Tuesday 4/14/09 1:30pm on the topic of "Podcasting for Every Teacher."
