I enjoyed the interview. The most interesting thing to me was the mention of living in the concrete of a city and working to create beauty in response. One pattern seen historically with highly creative teams is that they work in ugly and austere places. Beauty, it seems, can be distracting. This seems to extend beyond art, by the way, to all creative endeavors. I wonder if it is analogous to needing quiet to think. And I wonder if the situation is changing as we come to live in media-rich environments.

It's interesting we can use media to share that message of beauty and creativity. That is one of the reasons I wanted to do that interview to share some of her experiences with a larger audience. It isn't done to much.
