Dr. Kathleen King Receives the 2007 UCEA Frandson Book Award
The
University Continuing Education Association (UCEA) has awarded Dr.
Kathleen P. King, professor of adult education GSE and director Fordham
RETC Center for Professional Development the 2007 UCEA Frandson Book
Award for her recent book publication Harnessing Innovative Technology in Higher Education: Access, Equity, Policy & Instruction.
She has also been invited to deliver a presentation on the book's topic
of distance learning innovation in higher education at the
association's annual conference in Vancouver British Columbia in
mid-April 2007 where she and co-editor Dr. Joan Krejci Griggs, National
Training Officer at the National Archives and Records Administration
and former Program Officer of USDOE FIPSE, will be receiving the award.

Continuing Education Association Award Program recognizes institutional
excellence, individual achievement, and contributions to the
Association and to the field of continuing higher education. These
awards demonstrate the Association's commitment to principles of good
professional practice by recognizing and rewarding:

The Frandson Award for Literature in the Field of Continuing Higher Education encourages submissions of books published during 2006 that are important to the theory or practice of continuing higher education in American colleges and universities."
